Medication Aide (May 13-May 14)

Legacy U Healthcare Consulting & Training Center offers a Medication Aide Training course taught by a NC Board of Nursing approved instructor. The Medication Aide course is a 24-hour State approved course that prepares students to meet the training requirements to become qualified as a Medication Aide. Students will learn how to safely administer medication by learning the six rights of medication administration; and other topics such as medical asepsis, hand hygiene, and terminology and legal implications. Students must score a 90 or above on the final exam. Upon completion of this course students will be eligible to take the state board Medication Aide Exam for skilled nursing homesE valuation to be listed on the State Medication Aide Registry.

Pre-Requisites:

The only previous educational training required and accepted for this course is Certified Nurse Aide 1 training.

• High School Diploma or equivalency
• Certified Nurse Aide 1 Certification
• Two forms of government I.D.

Course Cost: $199 + ($25 non-refundable registration fee, tuition, books, lab fee) (registration fee is waived if class is paid in full at time of registration)

DHHS Testing fee: $59 (Paid separately by student upon completion of course and at time of testing)
